About the author
Ron Padgett is the author of many books, including Oklahoma Tough: My Father, King of the Tulsa Bootleggers (University of Oklahoma) and How to Be Perfect (Coffee House); as well as the translator of Blaise Cendrars’s Complete Poems (University of California) and Guillaume Apollinaire’s Poet Assassinated (Henry Holt). He was named Officer in the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government, and was recently elected Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.
