Patricia Engel was born to Colombian parents and raised in New Jersey. Her first book, Vida (Grove Press), was named a New York Times Notable Book and Editors’ Choice, a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers selection, and a Barnes & Noble Best Book of 2010.
