AWP 2023 is here! Join A Public Space and Third Place Books for a celebration of independent publishers. The evening will include presentations from eleven indie publishers (including Two Lines Press, Dalkey Archive / Deep Vellum, Open Letter, Catapult, Coffee House, Dorothy, and Transit Books) from across the country about new books, old books, and what makes these publishers unique. New and essential titles from each publisher will be available for purchase. Join us afterward for drinks, reunion, and casual conversation at The Pub at Third Place. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required in advance.
The future of literature in America is fueled by small, independent presses and their dynamic teams. These publishers take risks in their acquisitions and introduce readers to some of their favorite writers in world literature, identifying potential for cultural phenomena (and outright strangeness) that often runs against popular trends or any financial bottom line.
